The Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA graduation ceremony on Saturday, 9th November 2024, was a vibrant celebration, bringing together graduates, parents, and staff to mark a significant milestone. The day was filled with energy and joy, featuring songs, dances, poetry, and heartfelt speeches that captivated the guests and made the event memorable.

In her address, Waterford's Principal, Jackie Otula, congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and expressed gratitude for their contributions to the Waterford community and their embodiment of the UWC spirit. “You have faced challenges both academic and in your personal lives and emerged stronger and wiser, prepared for the world that awaits you,” she said.

Elizabeth Cummergen, the IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, praised the graduates for their dedication and the respectful collaboration they demonstrated. “I have been moved by the remarkable grace that you have extended to me and other people,” she shared.

The ceremony concluded with inspiring speeches from the graduates. Pamela Chiweshe spoke about how deeply their experiences at Waterford Kamhlaba were woven into their lives, saying, "This place will always be rooted in our memories because we literally grew up here." Fellow graduate Nestor Pirela Meneses echoed this sentiment, thanking the teachers for their unwavering support and encouragement.

The event was a fitting tribute to the graduates' journey and a celebration of the Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA community’s collective spirit.
