Waterford's form 3 class got a great sendoff this morning before the start of Nyatsela - the inaugural 21-day walk around eSwatini.
It was a moment of mixed feelings - excitement and anxiety - as parents, students, alumni, governors and staff of Waterford celebrated the form 3 students before starting the walk. Class representatives, from form 1 to IB2, made speeches and gave the form 3s words of encouragement. The school principal Stephen Lowry thanked the entire community for supporting the initiative. Chair of Waterford's Parents-Staff Association (PSA) Bridget Farrell also mentioned that the walk has been organized in the best interest of the students and that it was important for parents to support it.
