On Wednesday 12th July 2017, Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa received a sponsorship to the value of E30 000 from Old Mutual Swaziland, for the 10th Annual Careers Fair. This was during a media announcement of the sponsorship.
The Swaziland Careers Fair is an initiative organized annually by Waterford Kamhlaba’s IB2 CSI community service team. The event has gone from strength to strength and this year it moves to the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre to accommodate the growing numbers of delegates and students from across the country.
As she announced the sponsorship, Old Mutual Swaziland’s Marketing Executive said, “We congratulate Waterford-Kamhlaba on reaching this major milestone and encourage them to continue for another decade. Old Mutual firmly believes in supporting the youth to make informed decisions not only about their financial future but also their professional, entrepreneurial and academic journey. This is part of the company’s Responsible Business initiatives.”
Speaking during the event, the college Principal Stephen Lowry thanked Old Mutual for the sponsorship. “On behalf of Waterford Kamhlaba, I would like to thank Old Mutual for the partnership,” he said.
