The campaign will run for the month of June 2023 and it seeks to encourage people to spend 60 minutes doing community service as a way of celebrating the school’s 60 years of existence. After the launch, Minister Shakantu wrote a pledge on the pledge board, pledging to do community service.

Speaking during the launch, the Minister thanked Waterford for the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) programme. Said the minister:

We are humbled by Waterford Kamhlaba’s Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) programme, which offers transformative opportunities for students’ personal growth and development while fostering self-determination, awareness of local and global issues, innovative problem-solving, collaboration and exchange programmes with diverse people and communities at Waterford and a number of communities in the Kingdom of Eswatini. Through your historic principle of devotion to community service and outdoor learning, you are positively impacting our communities and thereby aligning with the government priorities as well as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
