Latest Stories - Waterford Alumnus & Comedian Daliso Chaponda Performs at the School

Renowned comedian and Waterford Kamhlaba alumnus Daliso Chaponda rendered a great comedy performance at the school on Friday 26 May 2023.

Chaponda had come to perform at the MTN Bushfire festival on Saturday 27 May, and the College benefited from his visit to Eswatini, courtesy of MTN Bushfire who allowed him to come and perform at Waterford. It was a great event, characterized by laughter. The show brought together members of the WK community, including students, alumni, parents, and staff, as well as local comedian Mduduzi ‘Mdura’ Dlamini who had also been invited to the event.

Daliso Chaponda is a comedian and prolific fiction writer who shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, making it to the final of the 2017 series and establishing himself as a firm favourite with the judges and the British public.
