On Monday 29 March 2021 Waterford
Kamhlaba reopened for face-to-face teaching and learning.
This followed the announcement by
the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini on the reopening of schools on 29
March. The school’s musicians welcomed students with marimbas, acoustic guitar,
the French horn and trumpet. Staff lined the walkway to the assembly with
balloons and messages of welcome to all. It was a wonderful start to the day
and a very special moment for the Waterford community.
In her welcome address, Principal
Patricia Angoy thanked everyone for their efforts in ensuring a smooth
reopening of the school and further praised the students for being courageous
during the time of COVID-19. “We have all been looking forward to this day. We appreciate
all of you; you are so courageous,” she said.
